Avengers Assembled?
During the latest lockdown, I have been taking the opportunity to work my way through the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’m currently half-way through, so no spoilers please.
As with most stories there is a set-up, something goes wrong, the good guys mostly fix it, but one of the bad guys gets away and the rest of the film is about chasing them down. The hero succeeds in the end, but can’t do it on their own, they need help.
Now of course I’m going to try and crowbar a reference in here as to how this is like business.
People run businesses, they try to do the right thing, but sometimes things happen that need to be tackled. They may be good or they may be bad, they could be internally driven or caused by external forces (e.g. Covid 19).
Whatever the situation, calling on someone (maybe more than one) to help could be the right thing to do. By having the right people with you, you can tackle the issues and get the best result.
But, bear in mind, if you wait to the very end of the credits there will be something else that pops up that means that, although the work you do may get easier, the work you have to do will never end. So, having that support on hand is crucial.
